Scienpathy
Hello;
We set up this blog site to share information about our project that we started with our group of 12 teachers and students. The name of our project; scienpathy, science and empathy.
We know that science doesn't always have a rosy way, unfortunately. But scientists, who have made scientific breakthroughs throughout history, have worked for the progress of humanity despite the difficulties they faced.
Yes, they were sometimes excluded from the society, sometimes they were punished, but they continued their work to understand the universe. Nowadays, thankfully, scientists are not punished for their work. However, this does not mean that they did not encounter any obstacles. Can they adequately reward the work of scientists working to change the world, such as fighting Covid-19?
What are the reasons why scientists still want to work for science and for humanity, despite the many difficulties they face? How will science progress in the future? How does it feel to be a scientist?
Is there any criteria for being a scientist? If so, what are these criteria? We will try to learn the answers to these questions and more, with our students, in this project.
